(a) Except as permitted in subsection (b), it shall be unlawful for any person to consume or possess an open container of alcoholic beverages, on any public street, public alley, public parking lot, or on property owned by the Town, including parks and greenways. (b) The consumption or possession of malt beverages and/or unfortified wine may be permitted on public streets, public alleys, public parking lots, or on property owned by the Town in connection with a Town-sponsored event, or for a private event only if approved by the Town Manager or his designee. Any such event involving the consumption or possession of malt beverages and/or unfortified wine must also obtain all required ABC licenses or permits. (Ord 2011-011/03.22.2011) Sec. 34-4. Discharging firearms within corporate limits prohibited. (a) It shall be unlawful for any individual to discharge a firearm within the corporate limits of the town.
