(a) No building permit shall be issued until an official street address number has been assigned for the building lot or unit. (b) No certificate of occupancy shall be issued until the official street address number is properly displayed. (c) Owners or occupants of buildings already constructed that do not comply with the provisions of this article will be notified and requested to meet such requirements within 60 days from the date of the notification. A warning notice will be issued after 60 days if the requirements of this article have not been met. If the owner or occupant does not comply with the requirements within 30 days of delivery of a warning notice by certified mail or by hand delivery to the building in violation, enforcement action as set forth in subsection (d) below may be initiated. (d) Violation of this article is an infraction punishable in accordance with section 1-6. Each day the violation continues after the offending owner or occupant has been notified as set forth in subsection (c) above shall constitute a separate violation of this article. (Ord.
