FY23 FULL BUDGET REPORT ADOPTED

Reserve Funds Reserve funds are used to set aside resources to build up and pay for larger expenditures such as capital projects and public safety equipment. Reserves are an effective tool used to manage debt capacity and achieve strategic project initiatives.

Fire Apparatus CRF

Reserve Scope The purpose of the Capital Reserve Fund is to set aside funds annually to plan for and replace large public safety equipment such as apparatus, air packs, and/or radios as future pay-as-go capital outlay. This avoids resource competition and increasing debt obligations for shorter life-cycled items. It provides the means to ensure fire safety equipment is mission ready to protect the safety and wellbeing of the community.
