Winter/Spring 2024 Program Guide. The new year is not only a time for renewed hope but also for new opportunities, and new recreation and leisure activities! You’ll find those and much more within the pages of this guide. Have you made a resolution to incorporate a daily walk? Maybe you are more interested in a guided fitness class. Whether your resolution is to become more physically fit in 2024, or to become more involved in PRCR’s cultural events, let this guide lead your journey! Achieve your fitness goals at the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center. Add our Cultural Events to your calendar and immerse yourself in one of PRCR’s one-of-a-kind community features. For those of you 55 and older, be sure to participate in a yoga class, play bingo, or register for a day trip through our Morrisville Senior Center. I know you will find several ways to be engaged, informed, and entertained. No matter your New Year’s goal, let’s set out together to commit to living connected and living well. As we enter the new year, may this be a year that brings us all new opportunities, fun, wellness, and brings our community together at a cultural event. Join the Town of Morrisville each spring as we celebrate Holi, the Hindu festival of colors. Typically celebrated in the month of March, the festival is inclusive of all faiths and cultures, as one of the main themes of the festival is unity. So, while the Holi festival is rooted in the Hindu tradition, it is a celebration that happens all over the world. The Holi festival is celebrated as a way to wel come spring and give people the chance to release their inhibi tions and enjoy a new beginning. The Town’s celebration is free, and features dancing, Holi powders, artisan vendors, and food for purchase.
Our Movie in the Park series is family-friendly and begins at dark. Come early to get a good spot on the lawn of the multi-pur pose field at Morrisville Community Park. The spring movie will be Happy Feet in celebration of Earth Day.

Cedar Fork District Park 228 Aviation Parkway Sunrise to Sunset
Church Street Park 5800 Cricket Pitch Way Sunrise to Sunset Church Street Park is one of Morrisville’s larger offerings, with an international league level cricket pitch, picnic shelters, and tennis courts. The park also connects to Shiloh Greenway allowing for easy pedestrian access from multiple neighborhoods.
Cedar Fork District Park is a 37-acre park that provides an unlimited spectrum of recreation, special event, and athletic opportunities. The park consists of eight multi-purpose fields for soccer, football, and lacrosse. There are also restrooms and shelters with picnic tables.

Indian Creek Trailhead 101 Town Hall Drive
Crabtree Nature Park is a 37-acre wooded and wetland park site. The park features a large multi-purpose field with a parking lot attached. Additionally, there is a greenway connector that ties into the Crabtree Creek Greenway for pedestrian and bicycle access.
Indian Creek Park is located at the Indian Creek Trailhead across the street from Town Hall. The park features playground equipment, restrooms, and picnic shelters with tables.

Historic Christian Church 222 Church Street
The Morrisvile Historic Christian Church was built between 1872 1873 and originally served as the Morrisville Church of Christ. The Town of Morrisville purchased the church building in 1976 and it now serves as a community center for the Town. Little League Softball Ages 9 -12 yrs It’s time to pull out the cleats and dust off your glove. The Morrisville softball leagues are back with Modified Pitch (ages 9 -10) and Kid Pitch (ages 11 - 12). Games will be played with other local Little League International affiliated organizations, and some local travel may be required. The season will consist of both practices and games.
Start your young slugger off right by registering them for t-ball. T-ball will teach your child the fundamentals of hitting as well as fielding. PRCR T-ball league is co-ed and aimed at helping players develop a strong foundation. The season will consist of both practices and games.

Unleash fun this spring at PRCR’s “Pop-Up” Dog Park. Our temporary dog park provides your furry friends room to romp, play, and make new pals. The Pop Up park will occur on a bi-weekly schedule April 21, 2024 at MCP on Sundays, 9 a.m. - 1p.m. Dog toys are welcome, and water will be provided. Registration is required, and all participation is FREE!

Ready, Set, Go (3-year-old) Ages 3 yrs
This summer experience Camp Cedar Fork! There will be recreational activities for ages 5 - 11 with fun to be had by all. Campers will enjoy days filled with games, arts and crafts, water activities, brain booster challenges, park trips and more.
Ready, Set, Go is a program for 3-year-olds that is designed to help children develop into confident and competent individuals through a child-oriented and fun-filled environment. The program introduces children to a classroom setting by exploring various themes and interactive play. Participants will need a snack and drink in a spill-proof cup each day. Participants must be potty trained and may not wear diapers or pull-ups.

Ready, Set, Go (4-year-old) Ages 4 yrs
Ready, Set, Go is a program for 4-year-olds that is designed to help children develop into confident and competent individuals through a child-oriented and fun-filled environment. The program introduces children to a classroom setting by exploring various themes and interactive play. Participants will need a snack and drink in a spill-proof cup each day. Participants must be potty trained and may not wear diapers or pull-ups.

Aerobic and Cardio The aerobic room and cardio deck are located on the second level of the MAFC. The aerobic room hosts group fitness classes. The cardio deck houses stationary bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, and much more!
Fitness Classes Age 15+ years
The MAFC brings fun to group fitness by offering a variety of class formats that are inclusive to all ability levels. Some of our classes include Interval Training, Silver Sneakers, Spin, Tai Chi, Yoga, Zumba and much more! Classes are offered six days a week, with over 45 class options to choose from. Weight Room The weight room is located on the first level of MAFC. The room is fully equipped with popular weight lifting equipment such as pin-loaded machines, cable machines, squat racks, dumbbells, assisted pull-up/dip, captain’s chairs, and benches.

Family Tree Yoga Age 5-9 years (parent/guardian required)
Family tree yoga is the perfect time for busy families to connect with each other. Age-appropriate poses will be used to build confidence, promote bonding, and foster trust, as well as yoga games that make learning yoga fun! No previous yoga experience is necessary. Adults and children should be dressed for move ment.

Racket Sports The MAFC has two outdoor tennis courts that can also function as pickleball courts. Indoors, there are two racquetball courts.
