Sec. 67.42. No Authority to Regulate Operation

(1) A transportation network company (TNC) holding a valid permit issued by the State of North Carolina and continuously meeting the requirements of this Article may operate in the State.

(2) G.S. 20-280.10 establishes statewide regulation of TNCs and TNC services and prohibits the town from imposing fees, requiring licenses, limiting the operation of TNC services, or otherwise regulating TNC services.

(3) TNC services remain subject to all ordinances and local laws outside the scope of TNC operations, including parking and traffic regulation.
