Facilities, Services & Amenities As Morrisville continues to grow, so too will the demand for services and the facilities that provide them, including libraries, schools, recreational amenities, and emergency response. Further, as the needs and desires of residents change over time, this could include new and different facilities and amenities in the future. From a land use perspective, this will require long-term planning to anticipate and prepare for new facilities, expansions, and related infrastructure improvements. This is particularly important because many of the services residents enjoy are provided by partner organizations and outside agen- cies. While these facilities may not be owned or maintained by Morrisville, it is the Town’s responsibility to actively plan for mainte- nance or new facilities and coordinate with these organizations.

Key Considerations: ⊲ Monitor Town amenities and services to identify and plan for long-term expansions, new facilities, and related infrastructure improvements based on anticipated growth trends. ⊲ Coordinate with the Fire and Police Departments to identify and plan for changing needs as the community continues to grow, including new facilities and potential sites, expansions, and related infrastructure improvements. ⊲ Coordinate with partner service providers and community facilities to review long- term needs, plan for anticipated growth trends, and identify potential partnership opportunities. ⊲ Proactively identify potential sites and opportunities for new facilities and services based upon ongoing and antici- pated growth trends. This should include consideration for community needs should the Town reach full build-out of residential areas. ⊲ Account for changing demographics and the increasing diversity of Morris- ville’s residents when considering new or expanded facilities, services, and amenities.
