Appendix 1
liked the idea of using the existing homes as pillars and incorporating the old church. He added that while the old history was important, it was not everything about the project; he didn’t want to see an artificial community created. Commissioner Tom Murry added to that by saying that residents had expressed interest to him about having technology available in the core as well such as free wireless internet access in some of the shops or restaurants; Morrisville was near the center of technology and should incorporate that into its services. He added it may also be a way to obtain corporate sponsors for the project. Planning Director Ben Hitchings closed the meeting, saying it had been a wonderful start to the process and this was only the beginning. He invited everyone present to continue considering opportunities and ideas and present those at the next meeting on February 23, 2006. He thanked everyone for attending the meeting and participating.
