What do you like about Morrisville's current Town Center? x Old train station site x Tranquility at core. Almost zen-like. Celebration openness or nothingness. x Nothing What would you like to see added to Morrisville’s Town Center? x Bed and breakfast x Walking and biking space is definitely needed. How can you have a community if it is not safe for pedestrians? x Mixed use residential and retail. Current trend North Hills x Presentation hinted only office, professional office. Retail not viable. x Farmers Market x Community information center x Bazaar and fairgrounds x Make Morrisville a distinguished town unique in NC x Road sign on I-40 to direct people to historic locations in Town. x Statues of Civil War soldiers x Period restaurant x Mill workers walking to/from a “period scene” x Morrisville “socks” x Shoppes of Morrisville x Limited parking x The few remaining historic and quaint structures preserved, not knocked down and replaced. x Honor the long time residents and historic nature of the area including Shiloh. x We need a welcoming feeling where families can enjoy walking, dining, and socializing with neighbors, i.e. Apex, Wilmington x Find product Morrisville could identify itself with, e.g. railroad items and market it/sell in town center x Renovate train station area x Renovate Crabtree Creek bridge and greenway x Public Space for festivals/community events – stage/amphitheater x Amphitheater x Doctors Offices (i.e. office space) x Civil War park x Water tower x Save one historic house as Cary did Page-Walker House. That can be used for meetings, weddings, and community events – and save the structure for future generations.
