H ELIPORT An area, either on ground level or elevated on a structure, licensed or approved for the landing and takeoff of helicopters and which may include auxiliary facilities such as parking, waiting room, fueling, and maintenance equipment. HID High intensity discharge lighting, a bulb type including mercury vapor, metal halide, high pressure or low-pressure sodium lighting, which glows when an electric current is passed through a gas mixture inside the bulb. H IGHEST A DJACENT G RADE For purposes of floodplain management, the highest natural elevation of the ground surface, prior to construction, immediately next to the proposed walls of the structure. (a) Listed individually in the National Register of Historic Places (a listing maintained by the US Department of Interior) or preliminarily determined by the Secretary of Interior as meeting the requirements for individual listing on the National Register; (b) Certified or preliminarily determined by the Secretary of Interior as contributing to the historical significance of a registered historic district or a district preliminarily determined by the Secretary to qualify as a registered historic district; (c) Individually listed on any inventory of historic landmark adopted by the Town of Morrisville or Wake County; or (d) Certified as contributing to the historical significance of a historic district designated and adopted by the Town of Morrisville. H OME O CCUPATION A business, profession, occupation, or trade that is conducted within a residential dwelling unit for the economic gain or support of a resident of the dwelling, is incidental and secondary to the residential use of the lot and does not adversely and/or perceptively affect the character of the lot or surrounding area. H OSPITAL An institution licensed by the state that provides primary health services and medical or surgical care to humans, primarily inpatients, who are sick or injured, and including as an integral part of the institution, related facilities such as clinical laboratories, outpatient facilities, training facilities, central services facilities, and staff offices. Hospitals offer facilities and beds for use beyond 24 hours by persons needing medical treatment or service. This use type does not include urgent care facilities, nursing homes, or medical/dental offices. H ISTORIC S TRUCTURE Any structure that is:
