E. Primary Building Entrances
1. Primary building entrances shall be clearly distinguished through the use of one or more of the following architectural features:
a. Covered walkways or arcades;
b. Awnings (fabric or metal, no plastic), nonresidential canopies, or porches; or
c.
Projected or recessed building mass.
2. Buildings adjacent to public rights-of-way shall have at least one entrance with safe and continuous pedestrian access to the public right-of-way. This entrance shall be open during regular hours of operation. This entrance is not required to be adjacent to the right-of-way.

F. Parapet Walls
1.
Where provided, parapet walls shall extend over the entire length of the building facade and over any side or rear facades visible from a street or adjoining property. Parapet walls shall not exceed one third of the height of the supporting wall unless the parapet wall is an architectural feature (such as over a primary building entrance or faux second story) that is in scale with the building and the heights of adjoining parapet walls. (See Figure 5.9.5.F.2: Parapet Wall Dimensions.) Parapet walls shall be made of materials consistent with the predominant net facade materials in Section 5.9.4, Exterior Facade Materials and Colors for All Development.
