Article 11: Interpretation and Definitions Section 11.5. Terms and Uses Defined 11.4.3. Illuminated Signs

T ELECOMMUNICATION , B REAKPOINT T ECHNOLOGY The engineering design of a tower or support structure wherein a specified point is designed to have stresses concentrated so that the point is at least five percent (5%) more susceptible to failure than any other point so that in the event of a structural failure, the failure will occur at the breakpoint rather than at the base plate, anchor bolts, or any other point on the tower or support structure.

T ELECOMMUNICATION , B ROADCAST F ACILITY Towers, satellite dishes, antennas, and/or antenna arrays for AM/FM/TV/HDTV broadcasting transmission facilities that are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (see graphic to the right).

T ELECOMMUNICATION , B ROADCAST S TUDIO Commercial and public communications uses including radio and television broadcasting and receiving stations and studios, with facilities entirely within buildings. T ELECOMMUNICATION , B ROADCASTING S TATION Commercial and public communication uses including radio and television broadcasting and receiving stations and studios, including ancillary outdoor communications equipment such as transmission towers and satellite dishes. T ELECOMMUNICATION , C OLLOCATION The placement or installation of antenna(s) on existing towers or support structures, including transmission tower poles, buildings, and other structures capable of structurally supporting the placement or installation in compliance with this ordinance and applicable codes. T ELECOMMUNICATION , C OMBINED A NTENNA An antenna element designed and utilized to provide services for more than one (1) wireless provider, or a single wireless provider utilizing more than one (1) frequency band or spectrum, for the same or similar type of services.

T ELECOMMUNICATION , C ONCEALED A TTACHED A NTENNA An antenna that is not readily identifiable as such, and is designed to be aesthetically compatible with existing and proposed building(s) and uses on a site. Concealed Attached antennas include painted antenna and feed lines to match the color of a building or structure, faux windows, dormers or other architectural features that blend with an existing or proposed building or structure (see graphic to the right).
