Morrisville Senior Center
Staffing changes built a strong foundation for growth and leadership at MSC, and the team’s consistent, high‑quality work shows in the results. Staff also invested in professional development, attending state conferences, and the Senior Center Manager completed year one of NRPA’s Supervisors Management School. Staff Development The Morrisville Senior Center received a New Initiatives Grant from the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association to engage seniors in STEAM activities. The funding allowed the purchase of a Cricut digital cutting machine and heat press, forming the foundation of the new Cricut Makerspace program, where participants design and create their own projects. STEAM Activities
For FY26, new offerings included Low Impact and Strength fitness classes, expanded social events like Harvest Fest and the Noon Year’s Eve Celebration, GOLD Tech classes, and a highlight excursion to the NC Executive Mansion, beautifully decorated for the holidays.
