Welcome to the Fall/Winter Guide! This past summer, we proudly celebrated July as Park and Recreation Month, a time to recognize the incredible impact our facilities, programs and staff have on the Morrisville community. We joined agencies across the country in continuing the national theme, “The Power in Parks,” which highlights how parks (and recreation) strengthen community connections, support health and wellness, and create spaces that bring people together. As we move into the fall and winter seasons, surrounded by cool, crisp air and the beautiful turning of the leaves, we carry that message forward. The power of parks is felt year‑round, and our team remains dedicated to providing experiences that enriches the community and fosters belonging through recreation, cultural resource engagement, accessible spaces, events and programs and keeps Morrisville vibrant through every season. Experience one of the book community’s newest trends—silent reading—at Morrisville’s historic Pugh House, a landmark celebrated for its contributions to the arts, literature, and distinctive architecture. Participants bring a book of their choice, along with a blanket or chair, to enjoy a quiet outdoor reading session in the Pugh House yard. Afterward, enjoy a latte from a local café and connect with fellow readers. Registration is required.
Santa Calls - December 2 6-8 p.m. FREE | Open to ages 3-6
Santa Claus has contacted Morrisville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources to let us know he and Mrs. Claus will be calling children ages 3-8 during the Christmas season. All calls will be made on December 3, from 6-8 p.m. Let us know what “good” things they’ve done this year, what Santa might encourage them to work on, and one special item on their Christmas list. Registration is required. Christmas Tree Lighting - December 4 6-8 p.m. Celebrate the joy and wonder of the season at our annual Christmas Tree Lighting — a beloved tradition that brings our community together in the spirit of hope and love. The annual Menorah Lighting ceremony symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, a message that resonates universally and embodies the essence of the Hanukkah festival. Join us for the final event of the “Light Up Morrisville” series at the Town Menorah at Indian Creek Trailhead.
The Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center’s annual Swim with Santa event is back! Visit with Santa and Ms. Claus at the spray ground and program pool, plus create a holiday craft, and take home a special holiday treat. Parents are required to be in the water with all children that are under 48” tall. Registration is required.
Celebrate Morrisville’s annual Diwali Festival as the Town lights up in honor of the holiday season. Diwali, one of India’s largest and most cherished festivals, offers a vibrant opportunity to recognize and celebrate our community’s diverse culture this fall. Enjoy an evening filled with music, food vendors, and activities.

Kids are invited to join us for a fun, hands-on MLK workshop! We’ll talk together about who Dr. King was, why his message still matters, then make a special craft inspired by his dream. It’s a simple, creative way for kids to learn, share, and celebrate kindness and equality.

Lap Pool Depths: 3.5 - 8 feet
The lap pool features six lanes and measures 25 yards. It’s designed for swimmers aged 12 and older who can swim laps continuously. Users must be comfortable in deep water and may be required to swim 300 yards continuously, demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Aerobic and Cardio Get your aerobic and cardio workout by joining a fitness class or try out the ellipticals, stationary bikes, and treadmills upstairs on the cardio floor. Weight Room The weight room is fully equipped with popular weight lifting equipment, including assisted pull-up/dip, benches, cable machines, captain’s chair, dumbbells, pin-loaded machines and squat racks. Racket Sports The MAFC offers two outdoor tennis and four pickleball courts. Indoors, there are two racquetball courts. Courts must be reserved ahead of time.
