214 Church Street
R.E. Atkins was a member of the Morrisville First Baptist Church and in 1914 he built this one-story house across the street. Atkins became a minister in 1907 and was the church’s minister. The home retains much of its original woodwork throughout, including symmetrically molded door frames and Neoclassical revival style mantels. Other original features of the home are its front entrance with sidelights and transom, as well as the Doric porch posts. The home features a wide center hall and a tall pyramidal roof. A barn and garage built around 1930 are also on the property. 14 Reverend R.E. Atkins
