a Signs shall be affixed to the building. b In the TOD, MS, and HCV districts, bracket-mounted signs may project over a sidewalk located in the public right-of-way. c. Except where prohibited, a tenant in a multi-tenant building is allowed a second sign if the tenant is located on the corner of the building or if a tenant space faces both a parking lot and street.. In no instance shall the signs be located on the same facade wall. d. A single tenant building is permitted a combined maximum of two wall-mounted fascia, projection fascia, and/or awning-mounted signs provided that not more than one of the same sign type is used. A tenant in a multiple tenant building can have an additional third sign if the standards in d above are met provided that not more than two of the sign type are used and not more than one of the same sign type is on the same façade wall. e. In the MS and HCV districts, the sign shall be constructed of durable materials that are compatible with the design and character of the building they serve and shall be designed to reflect the scale and character of the district. (See Figure 5.16.4: Historic Crossroads Village and Main Street Signs.). f. See Section 5.16.6(D) for additional illumination standards in the HCV and MS districts. g. Permitted on the ground floor only.
